Change of Plans...

Well, since I really don't play anything other than Pleasantview, I'm going to delete the other neighborhoods and create a new medieval-themed one with related sub-neighborhoods. I may also add a moon-based neighborhood as I feel that it will make it easier to relate to the story I want to write. The problem so far is cleaning up the neighborhood so that none of the pre-made townies/downtownies/strays/NPCs/dormies sneak in there. I have a feeling I'll be using InSim heavily...

Hmmm...and if I like playing medieval enough I may delete Pleasantview as well cuz it's getting so crowded X_x

First Post

I've decided to blog about my sims 2 families. I've been wanting to create actual stories for them for a long while, but I'm waiting for all the pre-made sims to die. I'm getting very close to just killing them off, actually.

For the most part I prefer playing in Pleasantview and Veronaville and may move into playing Strangetown a bit later. In my opinion one regular sim day is the same as two university semesters and the equivalent of a year. I installed the InTeenimater hack, so my teens are able to get pregnant, teens that reach a certain age no longer have to go to school, and teens are allowed to marry if one of them is pregnant. About a year or so later I installed InSiminator to hurry along a few things and even out the years. I recently installed Seasons, Pets, and Bon Voyage and made the stupid mistake of deciding the hurry all of the households up to "2000" (I plan on gaming up to 2010 and then rolling back ten years after they reach it).

To keep track of my family trees (because they're enormous and beginning to get a bit intertwined) I use the free MyHeritage software. I also created a rotation spreadsheet and a database of my Pleasantview families (I'm planning on retiring both of these because seasons makes it a LOT easier to tell where in the rotation your households are). As for the seasons, since each day = a year, the households will be locked into the same seasons as they progress.

I will be generating family tree reports as soon as I'm done catching all my families up and export the thumbnails with SimPE, transfer them to my laptop, and insert them into MyHeritage. There are currently fourteen families, although a few of them are merged into one. The households in Pleasantview are as follows:
  • Dustin and Angela Broke
  • John and Jennifer Burb
  • Nina Caliente
  • Geoffrey and Emmy Couderc
  • Sonny and Jeannie Day
  • Darren and Cassandra Dreamer
  • Dirk and Lilith Dreamer
  • Rulian and Daenyin Falmer
  • Valandil and Elva Falmer
  • Chester and Jodie Gieke
  • Dina Goth
  • Jason and Brandi Larson
  • Tyler and Elle Long
  • Avri and Breanna Oldie
  • Calvin and Lainley Oldie
  • Jihoon and Jaiden Oldie
  • Daniel and Mary-Sue Pleasant
  • Kermit and Kaylynn Roosevelt
  • John and Lucy Sartor
Note that I did not include sims that are currently attending Sim State University. There's way too many Oldies X_x When I finally get all of my sims to 2000, I'm going to create a mass-death by illness via inSim to thin it out (lots of Family sims with big families X_x) After that's done, I'll finally get around to actually telling STORIES :D W00T
